We believe in  incorporating Costume Play (cosplay) as a form of self expression at many of our events.  Cosplay, around since the 1900’s, became popular in pop culture in the 90s and has now become a cultural phenomena.

Why Cosplay?

Being a kid can be tough! She was a self-proclaimed nerd and emphatic introvert who had trouble fitting in!   Her favorite pastimes were writing, reading, and anything creative. Her kryptonite was social interaction and public speaking! Ultimately, it was not until later in life that she found her own Universe where she could embrace her inner nerd and be free- COSPLAY!

A form of self-expression, cosplay is also an integral part of popular culture. In our act, it inspires emotion; intensity, creativity, and imagination.  We found out how to better connect with our audience through cosplay and Amazon Princess, a symbol of strength. When such a powerful feminist icon walks into a room and connects with the community, there is no better feeling.

A majority of viewers will follow along to see our art form from a spectator’s point of view when we perform. We must view our art form from the perspective of the spectator. After meeting the performer and getting their picture taken with their favorite superhero, their lives will never be the same again. The movie inspires them. They see a strong example of self-confidence, strength, determination, and diversity. In addition to movies, concerts have created the same kind of powerful feelings. In airshows, there is also potential for that.
